About the role
This role sits on the life sciences team. The life sciences work is a mix of ad hoc and continuous research of qual and quant. You will be helping to win new projects by assisting with/writing proposals and pitching. This will include coming up with imaginative design ideas, usually in a brainstorming forum. In addition to managing ad-hoc research projects – including the development of project spec, client liaison, design of research materials, communication with team members, scheduling, and leading on analysis and reporting – also moderating Zoom/Teams depth interviews and occasionally groups with respondents around the world (in English). You will be supporting other research projects – supporting the project lead by doing a share of fieldwork/moderation, contributing to the analysis, story development, and debriefing, as well as presenting to the client – both pitching and project debriefs. For qualitative studies, most of our work is done in English, but we work closely with a team of Asian moderators. Depending on the size and type/objectives of the project, we would outsource moderation only and carry out analysis from English transcriptions, whilst others will be outsourcing moderation as well as analysis and interpretation. Finally, you will be helping to build this sector– including working towards financial targets, building the team, putting in place appropriate support, complying with our client’s standards/audits/project management/admin requirements, etc. Over the course of the next year or so, we also expect to grow considerably from companies within the Life Sciences sector.
About your background and skills
You must have 7+ years of experience in a research agency background or a life sciences background. You are confident in delivering projects and keeping clients engaged. You are an interesting and creative thinker, by being creative in how you think about the work and collect data. You are a strong team player with excellent project management abilities while being ambitious and committed. You are a positive, happy presence in the office (or on teams) and have a passion for research. You are someone who enjoys keeping up with the latest thinking, who reads widely enjoys variety, who has a high level of curiosity, and is hardworking and flexible.
You have quantitative research skills, including creative approaches- quantitative surveys, questionnaire design, analysis, preparing and giving quant debriefs, conjoint, segmentation, max diff, and other methodologies. Your qualitative research skills include depth interviews, focus groups, and online qual projects, particularly in a b2b context. You need to have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and have experience in both client and project management while being numerically strong.
