About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team and play a key role in driving the growth and scaling of our engineering organization. You will be responsible for building and leading high-performing engineering teams focused on developing and shipping features that accelerate user acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of software development practices and a proven ability to motivate and develop individual team members.
Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the execution of the engineering roadmap for growth initiatives.
- Build and scale high-performing engineering teams focused on growth products and features, leveraging React/React Native, Ruby on Rails/Node JS, and AWS.
- Partner with product, marketing, and data science teams to identify and prioritize growth opportunities.
- Architect and design scalable, maintainable, and performant software systems.
- Implement best practices for agile development, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and code quality.
- Recruit, hire, and develop top engineering talent with a focus on growth expertise.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Manage team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Track key metrics and analyze data to measure the impact of engineering efforts on growth.

- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
About your background and skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in web and mobile consumer applications.
- 2+ years of engineering management experience managing at least 6 engineers.
- Demonstrated ability to hire and support engineers in their career progression.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, a computer science degree preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high-growth environment like ours.
- Excellent software engineering aptitude in React/React Native, Ruby on Rails/Node JS, and AWS.
- Ability to provide technical mentorship and guidance to your team.
